The University of Texas at Austin has announced plans to construct a new residence hall exclusively for law students, set to open in fall 2027. The facility will be located adjacent to the UT School of Law on the main campus.

University officials say the hall is designed to create a tighter-knit community among law students who often struggle to build connections while managing demanding course loads. The building will include study rooms, seminar spaces, and a courtyard designed for informal networking.

The project is part of a broader $400 million campus improvement plan that also includes upgrades to research facilities and student wellness centers.
