The Texas A&M University Corps of Cadets has implemented a series of enhanced security measures following an elevated terrorism threat assessment affecting military-affiliated organizations on US college campuses.

The changes include increased surveillance of cadet facilities, updated protocols for public appearances and parades, and closer coordination with local law enforcement and federal authorities.

Corps Commandant Brig. Gen. Patrick Michaelis said the safety of cadets is the top priority, noting that the university is working closely with the Department of Defense on the matter.
